3rd Annual Cardboard Box City
August 3, 2019

Patton Park
South Hamilton, MA

Step One!

Join or Create a Team

First step is to let us know your team! By joining or starting a team we will be able to keep track of funds raised. Nothing like a little friendly competition!

If you join a team, you do not have to commit to staying overnight!

Step Two!

Start Fundraising

By creating an individual fundraiser, we will be able to track all donations that come in on your behalf. You can start your own, or just share someone else’s who is also on your team!

Step Three!

Tell Your Friends

After you have created your own or located a friend’s fundraising page, please share it on social media! We will raise the most money for our families if more people hear about the event.

Thank you for your help ending family homelessness!

Cardboard Box City is designed for young people, groups and families to help raise awareness about the increasing challenge of family homelessness in our community and to help raise funds to support the work of Family Promise. Family Promise exists to help children and families experiencing homelessness make the transition to economic independence.

Children make up one out of every four people experiencing homelessness

Cardboard Box City Info:

Cardboard Box City provides young people and their families with a greater, personal understanding of the challenges facing families experiencing homelessness here in our own community.

Individuals, families or groups spend the night in a cardboard box they bring and decorate. There will be activities, entertainment and presentations throughout the evening related to family homelessness.

To generate awareness about the number of families experiencing homelessness in our own community and to raise money for Family Promise North Shore Boston, an organization that helps families find housing and become self-sufficient.

Register and try to collect contributions of at least $100 to attend. You don’t have to spend the night; just come for the program portion if you choose. If you stay over, bring a large box, a tarp, blankets, a pillow or sleeping bag.

Contact us if you think this is a great idea, or if you lead a group that would like to participate! Our committee could use more volunteers!

We hope you will join us to help

“End homelessness, one family at a time.”
