Ending Homelessness on the North Shore, One Family at a Time.
Need an idea? Houses for Change
Houses for Change is an award-winning craft project for kids that provides an opportunity to answer the question, “What can I do to help?”
It has been adopted by schools, congregations, the United Way and the YMCA.
The program is simple: Students decorate a cardboard house (which we provide). Over a few weeks or a month, the box is filled with loose change. The school or congregation then makes a donation to Family Promise.

Did you know?
Since 2013, 85% of the people we have served have successfully moved onto permanent housing within an average of 150 days? We are proud to report that each and every one of those families remain in permanent housing to date!
Tell us your story!
Have you had a good experience while volunteering for Family Promise? Perhaps you had a rewarding conversation with a guest or played a game with a child. Any quotable quotes, such as “Mommy, we’re houseless, we’re not homeless?"
Please write down your positive experiences with Family Promise and send them to email@example.com. The stories don’t have to be polished. We have experienced journalists among us who can help you refine your story.
Thank you for all you do to help our homeless families find jobs and sustainable housing!
