Red Sox Tickets For Auction

Did you not win the Red Sox tickets in our raffle? Don't worry, because we are offering you a chance to buy a pair of tickets!

Believe it or not, the winner of the 4 tickets to the Red Sox vs. Seattle Mariners game on Friday, August 22 asked us, “Can’t you use the tickets to raise more money?” We said yes, and thanks!

So, the tickets are up for auction! We would like to recover a minimum of the face value of $104 each and if you want to bid up the price and make this into an auction, that’s a great way to support our families! We’ll sell to the highest bidder at or above the face value.

Please respond with an offer by email to info@FamilyPromiseNSB.org and we'll let you know if you are the winning offer! You can offer to buy all 4 tickets or just a pair.

Please welcome Community Covenant Church, our newest Host Congregation!

Community Covenant Church in West Peabody, MA is the latest Host Congregation to join our network. Special thanks to Susan Johnson and Allen Woodworth who spearheaded the process of obtaining a Temporary Occupancy Permit, and Becky Cade, Susan Johnson and Kari Richards, for coordinating two straight hosting weeks in June, shortly after Community Covenant was approved. What a team!

We now have 10 full-time committed Host Congregations, plus two part-time Hosts (Ipswich Inn and Endicott College). In addition, folks at North Shore Community Baptist Church, already a stalwart as a Support Congregation, are working hard to obtain an Occupancy Permit so they can host in August. Also, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead has voted to become a Host Congregation, and folks there are working hard to get their building approved.

Soon, our network will be fully subscribed! Blessings to all our almost 40 Host and Support Congregations, and about 700 trained volunteers, for all your wonderful work in supporting our homeless families!

North Shore Taxi

North Shore Taxi and Family Promise North Shore Boston have partnered up to create a Taxi Voucher account for our families to get back and forth to work. All you need to do is call up Bob at North Shore Taxi (978-532-2222), tell them you would like to donate any amount towards our account and North Shore Taxi will match it, dollar for dollar. What does this mean for our families? Glad you asked. It means that for those guests looking for work or have work that is off the beaten path of public transportation, they can access a cab from North Shore Taxi with your help and have a low to no cost way to get back and forth to work. It's just another way we can all work together to help end homelessness on the North Shore, one family at a time.
