Become a Family Promise North Shore Boston Volunteer
Family Promise North Shore Boston is always in need of talented and dedicated volunteers, which are the lifeblood of this program serving homeless families on the North Shore. There are a number of ways that you can get involved and help out.

Office Angels and Weekend Volunteers Wanted
Family Promise North Shore Boston can always use Office Angel volunteers, particularly on weekends. Office Angels can assist in many ways, such as:
- Helping to prepare for new families to enter the program
- Conducting data entry
- Engaging in weekend activities with families
- Staffing our headquarters on weekends
- Writing for our newsletter
You may have other skills that could help. Whatever your skill, we have many opportunities for you to join the team as an Office Angel or weekend volunteer. Please click here to sign up for a shift or contact us for more information on getting started.
Volunteers from host and support congregations provide hospitality to guest families throughout the week while families are engaged in the Family Promise North Shore Boston program. We welcome volunteers of all ages. These volunteers help to provide meals, offer overnight hospitality, and help plan activities for families. Activities might include:
- Cooking or hosting dinner
- Spending the evening with guest families (visiting, tutoring, or just having fun!)
- Planning special activities for families on weeknights or weekends
- Sleeping overnight at the host congregation
- Donating needed supplies for the host congregation
- Setting up and taking down the guest families’ rooms
If you are interested in more information about volunteer opportunities or becoming a volunteer, please contact us at info@FamilyPromiseNSB.org or call (978) 922-0787.
Can Kids Volunteer? Questions to Consider
Thinking about bringing your child to help volunteer? Please read this to help you decide whether or not you should bring your child.
All of our volunteers should complete a volunteer form and a CORI check form. Please feel free to download these and mail them to us at 330 Rantoul Street, Beverly, MA, 01915, if you haven’t already completed these at one of our trainings. If you are completing the CORI form, we will need a photocopy of your driver’s license (front and back). We may need to see it in person as well.
Thank You to Our Volunteers!
