North Shore Residents to Sample Local Food, Bid on Items in Support of Ending Homelessness

North Shore Area, Mass. – North Shore residents are invited to attend Family Promise North Shore Boston’s seventh annual Taste the Promise benefit on Wednesday, May 1 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Danversport. Family Promise North Shore Boston is a nonprofit organization that harnesses volunteers from across North Shore faith communities to provide temporary housing, meals, and personalized case management to children and parents experiencing homelessness. Tickets and tables are available online at familypromisensb.org, both on an individual and on a by-table basis. The fun annual tradition features samples of fine foods from many of the North Shore’s most generous restaurants, live music, and an auction including items such as vacation packages; hotel stays; tickets to Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins games; and much more. Attendees are expected from the dozen North Shore cities and towns whose volunteers host or support families in the program: Beverly, Danvers, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Ipswich, Marblehead, Peabody, Rockport, Salem, Swampscott, and Wenham.
The event’s presenting sponsor is Domino’s. Additional restaurant partners include Bambolina, Buffalo Wild Wings, Burtons Grill, Cheesecake Factory, Chive, Danversport, En Fuego Cocina Mexicana, Eviva Cucina, Grassy Roots, J.
